Ankle & Foot Injuries & Pain
About the Injury
Foot and ankle injuries can make walking, standing, exercising, and maintaining balance difficult. Physical therapy provides a safe and effective approach to reducing pain, restoring mobility, and strengthening the foot, ankle, and whole body so you can move more comfortably.
Your physical therapist will evaluate your symptoms, movement patterns, walking, strength, and goals to identify the root cause of your condition. Based on this evaluation, a personalized treatment plan is developed to address your specific needs.
Treatment may include stretching, strengthening, balance training, and hands-on techniques to improve joint mobility and reduce stiffness. Additional support such as taping, bracing, footwear changes, or orthotics may also be recommended when appropriate.
Physical therapy not only focuses on healing but also on improving movement and preventing future injury. Many patients experience reduced pain, improved strength and mobility, and greater confidence with daily activities. With consistent care and guidance, you can return to walking, working, exercising, and staying active.
