Head & Neck Injuries & Pain
About the Injury
Head and neck pain can make it harder to work, sleep, and enjoy daily activities. Physical therapy provides a safe, non-invasive approach to reducing pain, restoring movement, and improving quality of life.
Your physical therapist will evaluate the underlying causes of your symptoms, including movement limitations and contributing factors. Your physical therapist is also trained to determine if you sustained a concussion during your head or neck injury. Based on this assessment, a personalized treatment plan is developed to meet your specific needs and goals.
Treatment may include hands-on techniques to relax tight muscles, improve joint mobility, and reduce tension that contributes to pain or headaches. Stretching and strengthening exercises help support the spine, improve posture, and prevent symptoms from returning.
Physical therapy focuses on addressing the root causes of pain, not just the symptoms. Many patients experience less pain, fewer headaches, improved movement, and increased energy. With consistent care and expert guidance, you can move more freely and return to the activities that matter most.

Ice After an Injury? From RICE to PEACE and LOVE
For years, the go-to advice for a new injury was to grab a bag of frozen peas and follow the R.I.C.E. method—Rest, Ice, Compress, and Elevate.
